In the late ‘80’s and early ‘90’s I had good success using dried brewers yeast from Boots and a liquid liver that I had to travel miles to collect, in my home made base mix. It also included something called meatol, I think from Geoff Kemp. Anyway, the yeast and liver combo really rocked as an attractor back then and still does now. These days I use the brocacel yeast and the liquid liver hydrolysate, both in my base mix and over the baits too. When the two combine they give such a savoury, carpy smell, it reminds me of my old bait but ten times more pungent and ten times more carpy. And they deliver the liquid liver to my door so I don’t have to drive miles up the motorway to get it, Hurrah!
