Our top-quality De-fatted Insect Protein Meal is made from Black Soldier Fly (BSF) Larvae. This meal has taken the bait market in a big way, already touted as a hugely sustainable replacement for fishmeal in Fish and Animal feed formulations.
During trials with BSF Meal it has certainly raised an eyebrow or two, catch reports have been phenomenal! Insects are a natural food of all species of fish, so what could be more natural than Insect Meal?
Regular BSF meal normally has high levels of saturated fatty acids which are almost solid at room temperature, as BAF Insect Protein Meal is a de-fatted product it makes this perfect for inclusion in fish/aquatic feed formulations all year round.
Typical Protein level of 55% and Fat/Lipid level of 10-12%, quite similar to most fishmeal’s.
